Tempus: Our Signature Memory Care Program

Tempus is our specialized approach to caring for residents living with dementia, the umbrella term for conditions that affect memory, thinking, and behavior, including Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia. The name Tempus is Latin for time. People living with dementia often experience their own reality, on their own timeline. With Tempus, that is exactly where we meet them.

At the Avaline, Tempus has two levels. This way, we can adjust support as each resident’s needs change.

Tempus Engage

This level is for residents who need some memory care support but not the full services of our secured program. A steady routine, gentle structure, and a connected community help residents stay confident while keeping much of their independence.

Our community uses a technology system called iN2L to help provide experiences for our residents to share conversations, interactions, learning and fun with each other, their caregivers, and family members.

iN2L is easy to use and requires no computer experience. Simply touch a picture on the screen to begin enjoying fun activities.
